The Bromley Disability Trust
Supporting the Community in
Bromley
The Bromley Disability Trust was set up in 1992
by BATH.
The Trust provides grants to support the
development of people with disabilities, (physical, sensory or
learning) of all ages resident in the Borough of Bromley.
Definition of Disability …
“A
physical or mental impairment, which has a substantial and long-term
adverse effect on a person’s ability to carry out normal day-to-day
activities.”
The BDT policy is to
provide financial assistance to individuals for a specific use that
is likely to develop and extend the quality of life of a person with
a disability. The Trust amalgamated with the Patrick Churcher
Memorial Fund in 1998 and can now consider requests from groups for
funding to assist in their leisure and sporting activities
The Trust will
continue to meet the challenges of disability, by developing ways
and means to increase opportunities and improve the quality of life
of those who have a disability.
